Stress-and-AnxietyHow do we stay de-stressed and happy in life when there is definitely hardship and obstacle coming at us non-stop? We all say “Happiness comes from within.”—Which means it is all about your own prospective of life and the ways you look at things.

Being mentally strong and able to cope with stress and anxiety is a crucial key to a better life.

According to a 2013 survey, more than 8 in 10 employed Americans are stressed out about their jobs. Work is one of the major factors that cause stress and anxiety these days. We can’t simply stop working when we are stressed out after a long day of work as the bills won’t stop coming and food don’t come from nowhere. The only way to get around this is to know how to reduce your stress and anxiety on a daily basis.

Here are 3 ways to help you unwind and reduce your stress and anxiety level.

Not only can being constantly stressed affect negatively your hormone, but also have a chronic impact on mental health. Over-time your stress and anxiety can be seen on your appearance. If you find that your skin has been affected by your stress level, and you want a faster recovery than the steps listed below offer, you can consider trying Chinese traditional and effective skin treatment–Cosmetic Acupuncture in Perth at Tao Acupuncture.

1.    Stay Hydrated

HydratedConstantly staying hydrated allows you the basic body functions to deal with anything in life. Sometimes you are feeling exhausted and simply not in a good mood probably because you are dehydrated, but you don’t realize it. It can be a little tricky for people to understand the bond between staying hydrated and stress. If you want the most simple and healthy way to combat the stress in life, start with drinking plenty of water and making sure to stay hydrated at all times. Water works wonders, and it will help you calm down and reduce stress on a not so obvious way but on a most basic way.

2.    Allow Some Time with Yourself

Personally speaking, this is the most effective way to reduce stress, and I do it on a daily basis. I allow myself 15mins to lay in bed and meditate with my eyes closed and music playing in the background. I normally let whatever emotions or feelings I have into my mind and feel and embrace them. After a little meditation, I usually feel re-energized and ready to carry on with whatever my plan is. This has become something I have to do pretty much every day, and something that helps me feel myself on such a busy schedules.

3.    Disconnect Yourself from the Internet

disconnectedAccording to a survey done in the US, the average hours that a participant spends on consuming media is 16 hours a day—including TV, social media, and phone time. There are only 24 hours a day, so this indicates plenty of people spend all of their time online when they are not asleep.

It is showed that the more people use social media, the less happiness they feel. Social media is a good way to stay connected with the rest of the world, but can be detrimental if not being used properly, and it can cause stress and anxiety.

Spare some time for yourself to disconnect from the internet and try not to engage yourself so much in the world of social media. You will find that you spend your time more wisely, and that will help you feel more fulfilled in life.
